Geriatric Care Managers

Beverly Headley, R.N., B.A., holds an Associates Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has over 18 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care, cardiology, long term care, parish nursing, and internal medicine.

 

Eunice Gerth, M.S., M.A., holds a Master of Science Degree in Physiology from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her work experience includes product development for a pharmaceutical firm, teaching college biology and geriatric care management for a non-profit agency.


Their professional affiliations include the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, the Speaker’s Bureau for the Alzheimer’s Association and local geriatric associations. Additionally, they have certificates in Medical Gerontology.

Gretchen Geagan, Care Manager Certified, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Vanderbilt University in Human and Organizational Development and a Master of Science Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a graduate certificate in Gerontology. Her work experience includes leadership roles with independent and assisted living residences in Middle Tennessee as well as publishing a resource guide for seniors. Gretchen serves on the Education Committee for the Tennessee Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, on the Legislative Committee for the Council on Aging and as Chair for the Middle Tennessee Advisory Council for the Mid-South Alzheimer’s Association Chapter.

  • Provide initial assessment to identify problems, concerns, and status so that a plan of care can be determined.
  • Assist in facility selection.
  • Act as a liaison with health care professionals, especially regarding coordination of doctor visits, routine and emergency.
  • Attend doctor appointments for accurate exchange of information, including transportation if needed.
  • Assist in accessing insurance benefits.
  • Arrange and supervise in-home care givers.
  • Provide support in emergency situations.

  • Provide practical planning for future and immediate needs of aging loved ones.
  • Develop written action plan to prepare for a crisis before it happens.
  • Provide professional guidance to ensure improved quality of life for the senior and reduced stress for the family.
  • Provide local care management for seniors whose families live at a distance.
  • Educate families regarding physical and mental issues of aging.
